Good to hear from you and good to hear that EcoCiv is prominent in China. Interesting to think that at present the Chinese would welcome me into their country but because of my Substack the Americans would not.
I am a former student of Glenn's and his lectures and tutorials were the bright light in an otherwise rather underwhelming university experience (I studied psychology).
As a mature aged student it was sometimes frightening to hear the "philosophy" of some of the young men in the class, I'm glad the tide may be turning.
There's always that one teacher that really makes a difference. For Glenn and me, I suspect it was our PhD supervisor Arran Gare. Keeping the lamp lit in the dark.
I'm in China with Swinburne right now; the streets sre clean, there's no graffiti, and I've seen not a single act of fuckwitism so common in my own stomping ground of Stonnington...
That aside; I'm amazed to see ecological civilization embedded in government policy informing everthing going on here.
The challenges are vast, but I'm optimistic for humanity - despite the horrors.
